The American Heritage Youth Chorus is perhaps the only sacred youth chorus in the American west with its very own rappers. At lunch in Twin Falls today, Mr. Swenson and the Fraze entertained us with a very important, very memorable PSA about PDA:
We're a choir for the books
And not just for our looks
It's cuz we spread the good word
To all who haven't heard
About the best book of all
And so we stand stall
While we go across the country
And we're making strong bonds,
But sometimes the bonds get a little too strong
So kids start to hold hands and it's sorta wrong
And everyone's subjected to that PDA torment
Of two choir kids with way too many hormones
When they should be worried 'bout balance, blend, and good tone.
And soon the whole bus spreads the juicy gossip
About how these two kids might start lockin' lips
And all the sudden we're distracted from our purpose
Because of all those kids who held hands on the tour bus.
